Make Way for Simplicity: Feature of the Month.

Bloc Studios: minimal design

Bloc Studios: minimal design

Invisible-door’s angle on companies, projects, and professionals in the area of minimal elegance.

May is the perfect month to renew indoor furnishings with springtime details and accessories. As feature of the month we have chosen an Italian brand that has a special relationship with nature. Transforming precious natural marble into magnificent ornamental objects, Bloc Studios has united Italian matter and mastery. Protagonist of its creations is Carrara Marble, famous throughout the world for its sculptural beauty. The exclusiveness of the material goes hand in hand with the studio’s taste for noble and minimal shapes. Classic inspiration and contemporary solutions are combined in Bloc Studios’s collections, which are always marked by a refined style.

Among their best creations, protagonists at the Salone del Mobile 2017, the magnificent Voie Lights lamps designed by Sabine Marcelis. The airy circularity of the neon strips counterpoints the square solidity of the marble, in plays of reflections and brightness. Or, to better welcome the spring, the Posture vases, produced in cooperation with Carl Kleiner, designed to create delicate floral symmetries shaping them into fascinating installations.
